Вікторина «Знавці англійської мови» для учнів 4-5 класів

Мета: Активізувати країнознавчі та мовні навички учнів.

Розвивати навички колективної роботи, логічне мислення, мовленнєву реакцію.

Розширювати кругозір учнів.

Виховувати інтерес до вивчення англійської мови та культури.

Обладнання: англійський алфавіт, роздавальний матеріал, тематичні картки.

Хід заходу

-         Good day, dear pupils, guests and participants! We are glad to see you! How are you today?

-         Today we are having the English party. It will be a competition of the 4-5 th forms.

-         To begin with we must choose the jury. Today our jury is …

-         And now let`s introduce the participant. Think of a name of your team and choose the captains.

І. Парад англійських літер

а) “Who knows the ABC best?”

Протягом декількох секунд учням демонструється алфавіт великий із пропущеними літерами. Діти повинні назвати їх.

(Та команда, яка правильно назве першою – та отримує 1 бал–зірочку).

в) Вчитель показує карточку з літерою, а учні повинні швидко назвати сусідні літери.

         За правильно названі літери по 1 балу-зірочці.

г) Хто перший прочитає зашифроване слово з теми «Географія Британії» (за порядковим номером букв алфавіту)

За правильну відповідь - 1 бал-зірочка.

2. Reading

         Прочитайте слова кожного рядка. Візьміть із першого слова першу літеру, з другого – другу, з третього – третю. Прочитайте слово, що утворилося.

·        Garden, bird, farther, ball – girl

·        Dog, bed, listen, bank - desk

3. Скоромовки

·        A fat cat sat on the mat and ate a fat rat.

The team, member of which will repeat more quickly and correctly, wins.

II. Lexical game

1.     Яка команда напише, згадає якнайбільше слів з теми «Родина», «Тварини», «School», “Flat”, отримує 1 бал-зірочку.

2.     Зайве слово (4 бали-зірочки)

Кожній команді зачитується по два рядки.

3.     «Що у мене в портфелі»

Представники команди отримують аркуш паперу, ручку і за 3-4 хв. повинні згадати і записати, що знаходиться у їхньому портфелі.

Учням обох команд роздаються аркуші із кросвордами на тему “ Colours”, “ Family”. За кожне правильно знайдене слово – 1 бал.
