Тема: Спорт у нашому житті
Мета: Повторити та закріпити лексико-граматичний матеріал теми " Спорт у нашому житті ". Продовжувати формувати навички усного мовлення.  Навчати учнів працювати в парах,  групах, вдосконалювати техніку читання; розвивати слух, увагу, пам'ять, мовну здогадку; виховувати повагу один до одного, любов до спорту, бажання займатися спортом та вести здоровий спосіб життя.
Обладнання: підручник, робочий зошит, тематичні малюнки,роздавальний матеріал, магнітофон, підручник

-         At our today's lesson we'll try to use all lexical and grammar material on the topic " Sport in our life ", revise some words, practise speaking in dialogues, develop your reading and listening skills.

II.               Основна частина уроку

Speaking               1. Brainstorming    " Мозковий штурм".
As you know our today's topic is Sport in our life. So why is sport so popular nowadays?  People all over the world are fond of sport. That's why it's one of the things which unites people. Every morning people do their morning exercises. Television programmes about sport are very popular, too. Sport  helps people  remain healthy, keep fit.  It makes them disciplined in their daily activities.
-         Look at the blackboard, try to answer the following question:  Why do people go in for sport? Give your ideas.

b)    Look at the pictures and say what kind of sport each of them presents.
Вчитель показує тематичні малюнки з назвами  видів спорту, а учні називають відповідний  вид спорту.
c)     Chain game.
-         Now we are going to play a chain game. Name  one kind of sport and make up a  word- combination.
Один учень називає вид спорту, а інший повинен утворити словосполучення з ним.
-         Play golf, do aerobics etc.

d)    Pair - work.   Робота в парах.
Take these  cards. You have to make up short dialogues in pairs. You have 3 min.
Вчитель роздає картки із завданням скласти міні-діалоги. По закінченні роботи вчитель заслуховує 3-4  пари.

- Let's have a rest.  Listen to Alina and do the commands.

3. Group work
a)    - Now will work in groups. I'll give you the cards with the words and you must describe the game, prepare a short description about the game as the other groups have to guess what kind of sport or game  is it. You have 3 min.
It is a competition between horses  for a long distances, a very popular sport in the USA, Australia. ( horse-racing).
An outdoor game for two teams of 11 players. Players can only kick or roll the ball.   ( football).
This game can be played inside or outside. It is for two teams of 6 players. (volleyball).
It is the most popular sports in Ukraine. A team game between two teams of 5 players. (basketball)
It is a bat and ball team sport between two teams of 11 players. (cricket)
A popular game in the USA. There are 11 players in each teams. They are often hurt.(soccer).

b) Listen  to  me attentively and try to answer my questions showing the following cards.
- What sport equipment do we need to play football? ( tennis, volleyball, football, hockey )   for ( swimming, car-racing, running, horse- riding)

Your task is to make the proverbs from the fragments  and   find Ukrainian equivalents. You have 2 min.

B: I am a footballer.
A:What club do you play in?
B: I play for Ukrainian club "Dynamo"
A:Where do you live ?

B: My hobby is reading.
A:What is your favourite season?
B: I like autumn best.
A: I wish you good luck in your future job.

Your task for the next time will be to prepare your project works on  the topic "My favourite sportsman " .
